Versioon 1.1 · kehtib alates 24.10.2026
2.1 Start and end of liability
WiseTrans is liable for the goods from pickup until handover to the recipient or their representative at the destination.
Extent of liability
WiseTrans is liable for loss of and damage to the goods to the extent of the carriage-of-goods provisions of the Law of Obligations Act. Liability is limited to 8.33 units of account (SDR) per kilogram of gross weight of the lost or damaged goods and does not exceed the actual value of the goods.
Exemption from liability
- inadequate packaging, marking or securing;
- incorrect or incomplete details provided by the customer (weight, dimensions, type of goods, temperature requirement);
- the inherent nature of the goods (e.g. spoilage if the goods were not at the required temperature when handed over);
- goods prohibited from transport;
- force majeure, including weather, a traffic accident not caused by WiseTrans, road closures, ferry service disruptions.
Delay
Time windows are estimates. For damage caused by late delivery, WiseTrans's liability is limited to the price of the delivery concerned, except in cases of intent or gross negligence.
Pallets
- Supported: EUR pallet 120×80 cm, FIN pallet 120×100 cm and half pallet 80×60 cm.
- Half pallet: total height including the pallet up to 200 cm, gross weight up to 250 kg, goods must not extend beyond the edges.
- Height and weight are stated for each pallet; the choice of a suitable vehicle depends on them. A pallet that does not meet the dimensions may not be accepted for transport.
- Other pallets and non-standard shipments – by quote only.
Insurance
All WiseTrans vehicles have cargo insurance. The insurance covers WiseTrans's liability to the extent set out in these terms and in law. If the value of the goods exceeds the liability limit, we recommend that the customer insures the goods additionally or contacts us before ordering at info@wisetrans.ee.
2.7 Weekends and public holidays
On Saturday and Sunday only Standard delivery at ambient temperature is available (parcels and pallets): pickup only until 14:00, delivery on the next working day (normally Monday). There are no weekend deliveries. Same-day delivery, Express delivery and chilled/frozen delivery are not available for weekend pickup because there is no cold storage.
For an order placed after 14:00 on Saturday, the earliest pickup is the next possible day (Sunday if it is not a public holiday); after 14:00 on Sunday, it is the next possible service day. At 14:00 same-day pickup can no longer be ordered. Orders may be placed online at any time for a permitted future date.
We are closed on Estonian public holidays: no pickups or deliveries and no service is available for that day. Holidays cannot be selected as pickup dates. We are closed on New Year's Day (1 January), Independence Day (24 February), Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Spring Day (1 May), Whit Sunday, Victory Day (23 June), Midsummer Day (24 June), Restoration of Independence Day (20 August), Christmas Eve (24 December), Christmas Day and Boxing Day (25 and 26 December). Moving holiday dates are calculated each year according to the Public Holidays and Days of National Importance Act.
Delivery moves to the next working day. For example, Standard delivery pickup 19.12.2026 → delivery 21.12.2026; pickup 23.12.2026 → delivery 28.12.2026, because 24–26.12 are public holidays and 27.12 is Sunday. If Monday is a public holiday, delivery takes place on the next working day.
The same rules apply to business-account orders paid by invoice. Prices do not change.
